Plastering a Dining Room in Sutton

We were asked to plaster this dining room in Sutton.  It was tired and in need of updating.  Also the walls had been damaged by previous building work and the removal of the old wallpaper which had proved very difficult to remove.  Although quite straightforward, the room had original features with gothic corners and a roll top chimney breast.

As with most jobs the main part of the work is in the preparation.  Setting the beads was the challenge, but with a little patience we had them in position.  After this it was only a matter of skimming the walls up to the picture rail. The decorator made a lovely job of the new painting and papering, and once the client had dressed the room it was transformed.
